Kermit Hairston

Professional Background

A native New Yorker who grew up in Virginia, Kermit Hairston brings more than 40 years of commercial real estate experience to Harrison Properties. A graduate of Virginia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Kermit has built a distinguished career representing investors, owners, buyers, and sellers across a broad range of commercial real estate transactions.

Throughout his career, Kermit has specialized in the acquisition and disposition of multi-tenant retail properties. His experience also includes representing a Fortune 500 client in lease acquisitions throughout every major market in the United States as well as two Caribbean islands. Over the course of his career, Kermit has participated in combined sales and lease acquisitions totaling more than $300 million.

Kermit’s leadership experience extends well beyond individual transactions. He previously served as President of one of Georgia’s oldest real estate companies and as a Chamber of Commerce President, experiences that further shaped his understanding of business, leadership, community, and the importance of long-term relationships.

Personal Interests

Outside of commercial real estate, Kermit enjoys whitewater rafting and has a passion for public speaking on national topics. He and his wife, Stephanie, a retired public school teacher, are the proud parents of two adult children – an Atlanta attorney and a professional dance performer.

Kermit’s interests in business, community, current issues, and adventure reflect the same curiosity and enthusiasm that have characterized his professional career.
